The Energy Debate Continued…

Since the recent ‘debate’ on energy and reforming the political system, I have been wondering what other useful but practical things 98 ers might like to discuss. Someone mentioned that we do have to conserve energy and I am sure we all agree on that - but what can individuals like us do to help [...]

Politician’s Ode

I want a floating duck house
I want to clear my moat
I need to mend my tennis court
That’s why I need your vote.

I have to build a portico
 My swimming pool needs mending
My lovely plants need horse manure
And the Aga needs much tending.
 A chandelier is vital

This is us walking round the Auckland Skytower 630 feet up and the whole 360 degree walk which took about half an hour. Wearing our fetching Guantanamo Bay suits. Attached by wire but no comforting hand rail! I was terrified and refused to let go of the wire although it made no difference to my safety [...]

Vulcan at Kemble

Hi Guys and discerning Girls
I would like to share these pictures of the Vulcan with you. They were taken on Sunday afternoon at the Kemble open day, unfortunately the weather was not that kind to us. I dedicate these pictures to Ron Gardiner, Vic Monro and Jackie who also has a passion for the fine [...]
