Be grateful, you were born lucky!
Men Are Just Happier People– What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack.
You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can [...]

What is going on? A Gurkha cuts off the head of an enemy Taliban fighter to enable ID back at base. Now he is being threatened with courts martial! Don’t people know that is what Gurkhas do? I had no idea dead Muslim troops were supposed to be buried intact and I don’t suppose the [...]

OK, OK! I am very pleased to get some positive feedback from the folk out there. Thank you for writing in. The problem is this. Sitting at my computer in Donny town, on my own, I feel that I have got to the stage where I am simply writing to myself. This condition is only [...]

Not really sure if many read the website these days because I hear from virtually no one So, the lovely weather, plus real world things mean that my contributions will be missing for a while. That’s all.

… we could sell it, truly!
The stats for the web site continue to rise - and I have no real idea why. Whilst it would be nice to think so, it can hardly be due to our erudite, newsworthy or informative content - with all due respects to our esteemed editor, of course. Whatever it [...]

Well I always wanted to be described as inscrutable. Much better than some of the names I have attracted over the years. I must also tell Mrs [...]

Web stats taken end October 2009 show our readership continues to rise.
October numbers show a solid increase [+25%] on the previous month, September.
There was a daily average of nearly 686 visits, each person reading over 5 articles each visit.
Pity the UK economy cannot follow this trend.

We all know that Mike gets a bit browned off about the lack of reaction from others on occasions. Understandable perhaps, but we all like a good Meldrew moment now and again.
However, whilst we may not have too many writers, we sure continue to increase our readership - over two thousand unique visitors last month [...]

It’s good to see Google’s got its priorities right. Doing a few checks on the web site and seeing how far our fame [or notoriety] is spreading and came up with the following search results.
Not only do our ’sparky’ colleagues from the West country come in second, they don’t seem to have enough ‘p’s in [...]

Like my waist, the 98th web site gets a little larger every day. We are now fast approaching 1Gb of content.
For those in the know [well sort of anyway] that means 1,000 Megabytes and for the IT challenged, a stonking great amount. To ensure still more room to grow I’ve ordered a few 3-sizes bigger [...]
